BMW 5 Series

The BMW 5 Series is a full-size executive saloon that seats up to four passengers and carries a 520-litre boot, which makes it the natural pick for airport transfers, corporate journeys and client pickups where comfort and a quiet first impression matter more than fuss. GX runs the current model as a refined step up from a standard taxi, driven by a licensed, DBS-checked local driver.

The cars we run are the latest G60 generation, roughly 5.06 metres long on a near-three-metre wheelbase, so there is generous rear legroom and a settled, composed ride on the motorway. Every trip is fixed-price and planned around real traffic, with flight monitoring built in on airport transfers.

  • Passengers: up to 4 (five seats including the driver)
  • Luggage: 520-litre boot, around 3 large cases plus cabin bags
  • Class: full-size executive saloon (current BMW G60)
  • Best for: airport transfers, executive travel and weddings
  • Fixed prices, no meter and no surge, available 24/7

How many passengers fit in the BMW 5 Series?

The BMW 5 Series carries up to four passengers plus the driver in comfort. It has five seats and three rear belts, but for a genuinely relaxed executive journey it is best suited to up to three passengers across the back. The long 2,995 mm wheelbase gives the rear bench real legroom, so nobody is folded into a corner on the run to the airport. If you are travelling as a group of five or more with a full set of luggage, an MPV like the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the better fit than a saloon.

How much luggage does it take?

The 5 Series has a 520-litre boot on the petrol and plug-in hybrid models. In practice that holds around three large suitcases plus soft or cabin bags, or a comfortable set of luggage for three to four travellers on an airport run. The aperture is wide and regular, though it is a saloon opening with a fixed parcel shelf rather than a hatchback, so very tall or bulky items are worth mentioning when you book. For heavier group luggage, the V-Class or our seven and eight-seaters give you far more space.

What journeys is the BMW 5 Series best for?

It is at its best on refined, longer runs where the cabin does the work. The 5 Series is an ideal airport transfer car for one to three passengers with luggage, heading to or from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and London City from Gerrards Cross, SL9 and the wider Chilterns. The quiet cabin and rear space also make it well suited to corporate and executive travel, while its smart, understated saloon looks work nicely for weddings and other special occasions. Couples and small families get a comfortable four-seat cabin with room for the holiday cases.

Why choose the BMW 5 Series?

Because it delivers a premium badge and a genuinely quiet, refined cabin without shouting about it. The interior is built around the BMW Curved Display, a 12.3-inch driver cluster paired with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen running iDrive 8.5, with ambient lighting and the option of the BMW Interaction Bar for climate and light controls. On the motorway it settles into a low, easy cruising manner that suits early starts and late arrivals. Alongside the car you get the GX standard: a fixed price agreed up front, flight tracking on airport runs, and a licensed, DBS-checked driver on the road 24 hours a day. Compare it with the rest of the range on our fleet page, or step across to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class for a like-for-like executive saloon.

FAQ

BMW 5 Series Questions

How many suitcases fit in the BMW 5 Series?

The 5 Series has a 520-litre boot, which realistically takes around three large suitcases plus soft or cabin bags. That covers luggage for three to four travellers on a typical airport run. If you are carrying more than that, or unusually bulky items, let us know when you book and we will put you in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class or one of our larger vehicles instead.

Is the BMW 5 Series good for airport transfers?

Yes. It is a refined motorway cruiser that suits one to three passengers with luggage to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and London City. Every transfer is a fixed price agreed before you travel, with real-time flight monitoring so your driver arrives for the actual landing time.

Can I book the BMW 5 Series for a wedding?

Yes. Its smart, understated executive-saloon looks make it a tidy choice for weddings and special occasions. Call 01753 858585, message us on WhatsApp, or send your details through the quote form and we will confirm a fixed price and the arrangements.
