Denham to Heathrow (LHR)

Denham to Heathrow: a quarter of an hour on a clear road

From Denham Village, Denham Green or Higher Denham, Heathrow is around 15–25 minutes away. The M40 and M25 meet on the edge of the parish, which is why the run is so short.

The fare is fixed when you book and it already allows for Heathrow's £7 Terminal Drop-off Charge. It does not change if the M25 slows or your flight lands an hour late.

We are based a few miles up the A40 in Gerrards Cross, so a Denham pickup is close to home. We cover every UB9 address, Denham station, the business parks and the hotels, and on the way back we track your flight and meet you in arrivals.

Why GX Executive

Why Denham travellers use GX for Heathrow

A short run still needs a car that is there on time.

  • A fixed figure agreed in advance, with no meter running in M25 queues
  • Drivers who switch to the Uxbridge route when Junction 16 is blocked
  • Business travel billed monthly for UB9 firms that fly often
  • Executive saloons for visitors, V-Class and Tourneo for groups
  • Flight-tracked return pickups at no extra cost
  • Cars at any hour, every day of the year
Local Knowledge

The two roads from Denham to Heathrow, and when we use each

Few places we serve are closer to Heathrow than Denham, and it genuinely has two approaches. Which one the driver picks depends on the traffic at the time of pickup and on the terminal printed on your booking.

Route one: the motorway

From the Denham Roundabout at M40 Junction 1, the car runs to Junction 1A and joins the M25 anticlockwise at Junction 16. For Terminals 2 and 3 it leaves at Junction 15, heads east on the M4 to Junction 4 and follows the spur into the tunnel that serves the central terminal area. Terminals 4 and 5 are nowhere near that tunnel: both come off Junction 14 of the M25, Terminal 5 by its own approach road from the A3044 and Terminal 4 along the A3113. Getting it wrong at Heathrow means going all the way round the perimeter, so we take the terminal at booking and check it against the flight number.

Route two: Uxbridge and the A408

The second line barely touches the motorway network. The A412 takes the car down through Uxbridge, then the A408 meets the M4 at that same Junction 4 for the central terminals. When the M25 between Junctions 16 and 15 is at a standstill, this is the way the driver goes.

Pickup times for Denham departures

Because the drive is short, the pickup time is mostly set by your airline, not the road. For a mid-morning flight to Europe, being at the terminal two hours ahead means a car around 25 minutes before that, plus a little margin; for a long-haul evening departure, add the Friday M25 on top. A 06:00 departure is where Denham really benefits: a 03:30 pickup reaches Heathrow in the quietest window of the day. Early and red-eye bookings are covered in our early-morning transfer guide.

Drop-off and pickup rules at Heathrow in 2026

Every vehicle that enters a terminal drop-off zone is charged £7, and no waiting is allowed in the zone. Our quote includes it. The free alternative is the Park & Ride car park serving your terminal, where drop-off costs nothing and a free bus runs to the terminal doors, although on a trip this short it can add more time than it saves. For arrivals, cars cannot wait at the kerb, so your driver parks in a terminal car park and walks in to meet you. Terminal 4 is the exception worth knowing: since its multi-storey closed for redevelopment on 23 June 2026, pickups there run from Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride.

Who books it

Much of what we carry from Denham is work. Bosch has its UK head office on the Broadwater site, and Martin-Baker, based at Higher Denham since James Martin set up there in 1929, has made ejection seats since the 1940s; both send staff out and bring visitors in on flights that ignore office hours. Film and television crews moving between Pinewood Studios and other productions book at hours when little else is on the road. Residents of Denham Village and Tatling End make up the rest, often choosing a car over leaving their own in a long-stay car park for a fortnight. Firms that fly regularly can move to a Denham corporate account, visitors who want a driver in a suit can book a chauffeur-driven car on the same route, and every other airport from UB9 is on the Denham airport transfers page.

FAQ

Denham to Heathrow Taxi Questions

How long is a taxi from Denham to Heathrow?

Around 15–25 minutes. Most runs use the M40 to Junction 1A and the M25 from Junction 16; when that stretch is jammed the driver goes through Uxbridge on the A412 and joins the M4 at Junction 4 from the A408.

Do I pay Heathrow's £7 drop-off charge on top of the Denham fare?

No. The Terminal Drop-off Charge is already inside your fixed quote. If you would rather avoid the forecourt, we can drop you free of charge at the Park & Ride car park for your terminal, where a free bus runs to the doors.

Which Heathrow terminals give the most route options from Denham?

Terminals 2 and 3, since both the M25 route and the Uxbridge route end at M4 Junction 4 and the tunnel. Terminals 4 and 5 are reached from M25 Junction 14 on separate approach roads, so tell us your terminal when you book.

Can I get to Heathrow from Denham by bus or train?

There is no direct train: Denham station is on Chiltern Railways' line into Marylebone. By bus, Carousel's Flightline 102 serves Denham on its way through Uxbridge to Heathrow Central Bus Station, and TfL's A10 and U3 also run from Uxbridge to Heathrow Central.

Where will my driver meet me at Terminal 4?

Inside arrivals, with the car waiting in Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride, which has handled Terminal 4 pickups since the multi-storey car park closed for redevelopment on 23 June 2026. At the other terminals the driver uses the terminal car parks.

Do you do Heathrow runs for Denham businesses?

Yes. We run staff departures and visitor collections for Denham businesses, paid per trip or on a monthly corporate account with one invoice.

What happens if my flight home to Denham is delayed?

We follow the flight number live, so the pickup moves with the new landing time at no extra cost, and international arrivals include free waiting time for passport control and bags. Our delayed and cancelled flight guide explains the rest.
