- Terminal 5: the home of British Airways, shared with Iberia. A small share of BA routes use Terminal 3 instead.
- Terminal 3: Virgin Atlantic's hub, with American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Emirates and Delta among its other big users.
- Terminal 2, The Queen's Terminal: the Star Alliance building, including Lufthansa, United, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines and Swiss, plus Aer Lingus for flights to Ireland.
- Terminal 4: most SkyTeam members such as Air France, KLM and Korean Air, along with Qatar Airways and Etihad.

What route does the driver take from Gerrards Cross?
From SL9 the car joins the M40 at Junction 1 by Denham and meets the M25 at the next interchange, M25 Junction 16. Heading south, the exit depends on the terminal: Junction 15 onto the M4, then M4 Junction 4 for the tunnel into Terminals 2 and 3, or Junction 14 for Terminal 4 and the Terminal 5 spur road.

When should I leave for a Heathrow flight?
Work back from the time you want to be inside the terminal. Airlines generally advise two hours before a short-haul departure and three before long-haul; add the 20–35 minute drive and a traffic margin of 20 to 45 minutes, larger in the weekday rush and school holidays.
- 07:00 short-haul from Terminal 5: in the terminal by 05:00, so a collection from Gerrards Cross at about 04:00, on quiet roads.
- 11:30 long-haul from Terminal 3: in the terminal by 08:30, which means driving through the morning peak, so leave at about 07:15.

Heathrow's free option is the Park & Ride car parks, formerly called Long Stay, where drop-off costs nothing and a free bus runs to the terminal. Where will my driver meet me at Heathrow arrivals?
Inside the arrivals hall, holding a name board, once you have cleared baggage reclaim and customs. Cars cannot wait at the terminal kerb, so the driver parks in the Terminal Parking car park beside your terminal (renamed from Short Stay, and linked to arrivals by covered walkways) and walks in to find you.
Terminal 4 is different since 23 June 2026, when its multi-storey car park closed for redevelopment. Collections there now use either the Priority Pick-Up area directly outside arrivals, which Heathrow charges at £7 for up to 10 minutes, or Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride, free for up to two hours and served by free buses every five minutes from 04:00 to 23:30. Which car suits a Heathrow trip with plenty of luggage?
Long-haul trips bring big cases, so choose the car for the bags as well as the people. A Mercedes-Benz E-Class or BMW 5 Series takes up to four passengers. A family of five heading off for three weeks is more comfortable in the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which seats up to seven, and the Ford Tourneo carries up to eight.
