How do you get from Seer Green to the airport?
By car is simplest: Seer Green is a few minutes from the M40 at Beaconsfield, which puts Heathrow 25–40 minutes away and Luton 50–65 minutes away. The village station is a quiet stop with one train an hour off-peak, so a rail journey to any airport means at least two changes in London. For families with luggage, early departures and late arrivals, a pre-booked car is the practical answer.

Which way does the driver go from Seer Green?
Seer Green's big advantage is the M40. A short drive into Beaconsfield along the A40 London Road brings you to Junction 2, and every London airport is reached from there. Only London City takes you off the motorway network and into town.
Heathrow: 25–40 minutes
M40 east to the M25 at Junction 1A, then south. Terminal 5 traffic leaves at Junction 14, and Terminals 2 and 3 are one junction further, via the M4 spur from Junction 15. The Seer Green to Heathrow taxi page has pickup times for each terminal.
If you were thinking of asking a neighbour for a lift, note that Heathrow now charges £7 every time a car enters a terminal drop-off lane. The airport's free option is its Park & Ride car parks, with a bus to the terminal.
Luton: 50–65 minutes
M40 to the M25, clockwise to Junction 21, then the M1 north to Junction 10. Easy motorway driving most of the day, but the M25 between Junctions 16 and 21 can be heavy at peak times. At Luton the closest drop-off zone costs £9 for 12 minutes, so the Long Stay car park, free for 2 hours with a bus to the terminal, is the budget choice if a friend is driving. Book the Seer Green to Luton taxi to skip both.
Gatwick: 80–95 minutes
M40 to the M25, anticlockwise past Heathrow to Junction 7 and the M23 to Gatwick at Junction 9. Gatwick charges £10 to use its terminal drop-off for up to 10 minutes, then £1 per extra minute, and the charge has to be paid by midnight the next day. Details on the Seer Green to Gatwick taxi page.
Stansted: 90–105 minutes, and London City: 75–100 minutes
Stansted means the M25 clockwise all the way to Junction 27 and the M11 to Junction 8; its Express Set Down charges £10 for up to 15 minutes. London City is reached by following the M40 into the A40 and crossing London to the A13. Book Seer Green to Stansted or Seer Green to London City.

Can I use Seer Green and Jordans station to get to Heathrow?
You can, but it is slow. Seer Green and Jordans is on the Chiltern Main Line between Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross, and off-peak it normally has one train an hour in each direction between London Marylebone and High Wycombe. From Marylebone:
- For Heathrow, take the Bakerloo line to Paddington and change to the Elizabeth line or the Heathrow Express
- For Gatwick or Luton, cross to Farringdon or King's Cross St Pancras for Thameslink
- For Stansted, get to Liverpool Street for the Stansted Express
- For London City, take the Jubilee line from Baker Street to Canning Town and change to the DLR
With an hourly train, a missed connection costs you an hour, which is not a risk most people want before a flight.
