What are Fulmer Infant School's drop-off and pickup times?
The school publishes them. Gates open at 8.45am and parents stay with their children in the playground until the bell at 8.55am. Gates close at 9am, and anyone arriving later goes in through reception. At 3pm the gates open again and children are collected from the playground. The school notes that these times take account of families travelling in and taking or collecting siblings at the local junior schools.
That last point shapes a lot of Fulmer school runs. A family with a 6-year-old at the infant school and a 9-year-old at a junior or prep school elsewhere has two bells in two places. We plan the order so the younger child is handed over properly in the playground and the older one still arrives on time, or we suggest two cars where one cannot do both honestly.

Where do Fulmer children go after the infant school?
Most senior and prep journeys point towards Gerrards Cross, where we carry pupils to Maltman's Green, St Mary's, Gayhurst and Thorpe House. Maltman's Green takes girls from 2 to 11; St Mary's has been a girls' school and is becoming co-educational, starting with its nursery from January 2027; Gayhurst is co-educational from nursery to Year 6; and Thorpe House educates boys from 3 to 18, with girls in its sixth form.
For grammar-school families the run is longer but routine for us: Beaconsfield High, Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham and Dr Challoner's High School in Little Chalfont are all regular destinations. Buckinghamshire children sit the Secondary Transfer Test early in Year 6, and a score of 121 or more qualifies them for a county grammar school.

Does Buckinghamshire Council provide transport from Fulmer?
