St James' sits at the centre of the village, and the parish has old roots: Sir Marmaduke Darrell, a courtier to Elizabeth I who held estates at Fulmer, rebuilt the church in 1610. The lanes around it are narrow village roads rather than wide approaches, so we agree a set-down point with you beforehand and park away from the church while the service runs.
