Three villages, one parish, and Heathrow next door
Iver is not one place. The parish takes in the old village around the High Street, Iver Heath to the north with Pinewood Studios, and Richings Park to the south around the station, plus the hamlets of Shreding Green and Thorney. Around 11,100 people lived there at the 2011 Census, inside the Metropolitan Green Belt and the Colne Valley Regional Park.

Taxis for Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath
Pinewood opened in 1936 on the estate of Heatherden Hall, and it has been home to James Bond, Star Wars, Marvel and Carry On productions. Its 007 Stage, first built for The Spy Who Loved Me, has one of the largest water tanks in Europe. For our drivers that means early calls, late wraps and visitors flying in to Heathrow.

Iver station and the Elizabeth line
Iver station is in Richings Park, less than half a mile from the village, and it is the first station on the Great Western Main Line outside Greater London. Off-peak, the Elizabeth line runs about two trains an hour east through central London to Abbey Wood and two west to Maidenhead, with a few early and late Great Western Railway trains to Paddington. For the Piccadilly or Metropolitan lines, Uxbridge is the nearest Underground station, and West Drayton and Langley are a short ride either side of Iver on the same railway.
