We do cover Penn and Tylers Green, but we will not pretend we are round the corner. GX is based in Gerrards Cross, and Penn sits on the ridge about 3 miles north-west of Beaconsfield, beyond our core patch. The practical upshot is simple: book ahead, and we reserve a car for your time rather than hoping one is nearby.

Tylers Green and Penn are so closely joined that most people treat them as one place, although Tylers Green actually falls in Chepping Wycombe parish. Holy Trinity Church stands on a promontory of the Chiltern Hills, and from its tower it is said you can see into several counties. A local curiosity: despite the name, the old Penn family of this village are not known to be related to William Penn of Pennsylvania, who is buried a few miles away at the Quaker meeting house in Jordans.
Which station should I use from Penn?
For London, Beaconsfield is the usual choice: it is the nearest mainline station, where fast Chiltern services reach Marylebone in around 25 minutes. High Wycombe is the alternative on the same line and can make sense if you live on the Tylers Green side. If you work nearer Baker Street or want the Metropolitan line, Amersham is the other option. How are Penn taxi fares worked out?
Every quote is for your specific journey: pickup, drop-off, passengers and luggage. Once you accept it, the fare is fixed.
